175g (6 oz, 1½ US cups) flour 30g (1 oz, ¼ US cup) sugar 2 tsp baking powder ½ tsp salt 2 eggs 75ml (3 fl oz, 1/3 US cup) water or milk 90g (3 oz, 2/3 US cup) sesame seeds oil
Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
Mix together the eggs, water or milk, and 1 tblsp oil. Stir into flour mixture.
Drop spoonfuls of batter into a bowl of sesame seeds. Coat on both sides. Leave to stand 15 minutes.
Deep fry cakes until puffy and golden brown. Drain on kitchen towel.
Serve warm.
