Suez Day is celebrated in Egypt on 24th October each year.
The Egyptian-Israeli ceasefire confirmed in UN Resolution 339 on this day in 1973, marked the end of the Fourth Arab-Israeli War (see Armed Forces Day Egypt) and restored control of the Suez Canal to Egypt.
