Autumnal Equinox Day or Shubun No Hi is celebrated every year in Japan on the Autumn equinox, around 23rd September.
This national holiday is similar in significance to Shunbun No Hi, the celebration of the Vernal equinox. It has added significance in that it also celebrates the Autumn harvest.
