Armed Forces Day, Chile
by Frann LeachArmed Forces Day, Día de las Glorias del Ejército or Army Day is celebrated in Chile every year on 19 September with a military parade at the Parque O'Higgins (named after Bernardo O’Higgins, Chile's national hero) in Santiago, as well as a display by the air force. There are smaller parades in other parts of Chile.
Other places also have celebrations called Armed Forces Day, Army Day or similar, including China, Croatia, Egypt, Guatemala, India, Iran, Italy, Montenegro, Myanmar (Burma), Pakistan, Peru, Poland, Romania, Singapore, Slovenia, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, the USA and Vietnam.
