International Bog Day

International Bog Day has been held since 1991 on the last Sunday in July.

It is intended to be an annual event to celebrate the beauty of bogs, and to encourage their conservation. There are special events around the world highlighting local bogs, such as the Red Moss Reserve near Balerno by the Pentland Hills in Scotland.
